Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Industrial Engineer with a specialization in supply chain optimization to join a hybrid team in Welkom, South Africa. You will analyze logistics, inventory, and distribution processes and develop data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and resilience.

The role requires 3-5 years of experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency with ERP and data analytics tools, plus a collaborative approach for on-site and remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on supply chain operations and optimization.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software, ERP systems, and advanced data analysis tools.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and inventory optimization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize all aspects of the supply chain, including logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce supply chain costs while improving delivery times and reliability.
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma principles to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiencies within the supply chain.
• Create detailed models and simulations to forecast demand, assess inventory levels, and evaluate network design alternatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations, sales) and external partners (suppliers, logistics providers) to ensure seamless operations.
• Prepare reports and present findings and recommendations to management, utilizing data visualization tools effectively.
