POYNTING Antennas in Johannesburg seeks an Industrial Engineer to drive product industrialisation, bridging R&D and production while enhancing manufacturing efficiency.

You will implement design improvements to cut costs, support production with documentation, and collaborate with Chinese and local suppliers to meet international standards. A background in IE and CAD/CAM is required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Navision.

Responsabilités

• Industrialisation of products from R&D through to production.
• Improve design to reduce manufacturing costs.
• Provide production support: assembly, test instructions, training.
• Develop production and test equipment including manufacturing documentation packs.
• Liaise with Chinese and local suppliers.
• Test and qualify products to international standards.
• Investigate and fault find designs; assist R&D with DFM.
• Draw up new product design and qualification specifications.
