Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer focused on production flow and efficiency to join our client’s team on a remote basis.

You will analyze, design, and improve the movement of materials and people in production environments, using simulation tools to model changes and drive data-driven improvements to boost productivity and reduce lead times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production flow/lean manufacturing/operations analysis.
• Proficiency with simulation tools Arena and AnyLogic and with process-mapping tools.
• Strong understanding of lean principles and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and map current production workflows and material handling systems to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Design and implement optimized layouts and material flow strategies to improve efficiency and reduce WIP inventory.
• Conduct time studies and performance analyses to establish benchmarks and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Utilize simulation software to model and test proposed process changes before implementation.
• Collaborate with production teams and management through virtual channels to ensure buy-in and adoption of new processes.
