Quality Engineer

Techniplas is a global supplier of sophisticated plastic components and design-focused, multifunctional surfaces that are primarily for the automotive sector, as well as the industrial, consumer goods, medical, and other markets.

The company's products follow industry trends like weight reduction and vehicle electrification, innovative operating concepts, high-quality surface finishes, and an increasing focus on convenience and safety.

The Techniplas Group operates 30 sites worldwide with production, sales, and technology hubs, employing just under 4,000 staff members. For our location in East London IDZ, Eastern Cape, we have an immediate opening for a Quality Engineer.

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be an integral part of the team, providing guidance in local operational decisions.

The successful candidate is a problem-solver who will work closely with the local management team to further improve the business.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct studies and set targets for production through standardization of work.
  • Support in the design of facilities, line, and plant layouts.
  • Generate process input sheets to define process stops and cycle times.
  • Assist in conducting production trials and studies through activity sampling.
  • Implement and control TPM.
  • Collect data and generate graphs/trends on efficiency in the plant as requested.
Requirements
  • Industrial Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Good computer skills, especially in MS Excel.

Applicants must have 3-6 years of working experience.

Preference will be given to employees from the Designated Groups.
