Placements24 seeks a dedicated Industrial Engineer to lead Lean implementation across Queenstown facilities. You will drive continuous improvement by applying Lean principles to optimize production, reduce waste, and boost efficiency, working with production teams, supervisors and management.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication to train personnel at all levels and sustain gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial engineering with Lean Manufacturing focus.
• Proven track record leading Lean projects with measurable results.
• Familiarity with process mapping, data analysis, and problem-solving methods.
• Strong communication to train and influence teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean tool implementation (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Kanban) to reduce waste and improve flow.
• Analyze production data to find efficiency, quality, and cost gains.
• Develop standardized work procedures and best practices for consistency.
• Facilitate cross-functional Kaizen events and improvement workshops.
• Train and coach staff on Lean principles across the organization.
• Monitor progress of Lean initiatives and report KPI impact.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer to spearhead Lean implementation initiatives within their facilities in Queenstown . This role is central to fostering a culture of continuous improvement by applying Lean principles and methodologies to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency. You will work closely with production teams, supervisors, and management to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and ensure the successful integration of Lean practices. This hands‑on position requires strong analytical skills, practical problem‑solving abilities, and excellent communication to effectively engage and train personnel at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and implementation of Lean tools and techniques (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban) to eliminate waste and improve workflow.
• Analyze production data to identify key areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Develop and document standardized work procedures and best practices to ensure consistent operational performance.
• Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams in Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
• Train and coach employees at all levels on Lean principles and their application in daily operations.
• Monitor and report on the progress of Lean initiatives and their impact on key performance indicators.
