Delta Built Environment Consultants (Pty) Ltd is looking to appoint a versatile industrial engineer to add capacity to the Industrial Engineering Department.
OVERVIEW OF POSITION
The industrial engineer will work as part of a dynamic team compromising engineers and economists in the undertaking of various projects related to logistics, business process re-engineering, data analytics, feasibility studies and aviation. The industrial engineer is expected to lead a team of junior industrial engineers in the undertaking of projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the industrial engineer will include, but not be limited to:
- Project Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Client Interaction: Act as the point of contact for clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions that align with their business goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of industrial engineers and other professionals involved in the project, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure project success.
- Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of industrial engineering principles, techniques, and methodologies to solve complex problems and optimize processes.
- Financial Modelling: Developing financial models to forecast project revenues, expenses, cash flows, and financial performance. This includes sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling to assess the project's financial resilience under various conditions.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret data to guide data driven decisions for projects.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful project delivery.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed project plans, progress reports, presentations, and other documentation to communicate project status, milestones, and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure that projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices, addressing any compliance issues proactively.
- Training and Development: Mentor junior engineers, provide training on industrial engineering concepts and methodologies, and promote professional growth within the team.
- Business Development: Identify and explore business development opportunities to broaden the service offering and sectors serviced by the Industrial Engineering Department.
