About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to join their operations team in Richards Bay . This role is focused on improving productivity, optimizing workflows, and reducing waste across manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for analyzing production systems, designing efficient layouts, and implementing new methodologies to enhance operational performance. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a practical understanding of manufacturing challenges, contributing directly to the company's efficiency and profitability in the Manufacturing & Production domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Design and implement optimal factory layouts and workflows to maximize space utilization and material flow.
• Develop and implement time studies , motion studies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production staff, engineers, and management to implement process changes and track their effectiveness.
• Prepare technical reports, cost-benefit analyses, and presentations on proposed improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment .
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, process optimization techniques, and simulation software.
