Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to the company rules and regulations as documented in the company disciplinary policy;
- Ensure all data (quality/process/production) collected from all teams are accurate and aligned with process and inspection standards;
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of 5S (sort, sweep, shift, standardize, sustain) to eliminate waste and promote continuous improvement;
- Develop SOPs and process improvements in line with technical specifications to ensure best practices during each cycle and inspection;
- Document process improvements and standardize procedures;
- Update bills of materials (BOM) and load onto SAP promptly to ensure systems have the latest documentation;
- Compile part lists for production, ensuring correct parts are picked, packed, and fitted according to the schedule;
- Record and update production orders in the Vehicle Database to ensure timely vehicle stock booking and follow-up on open stock items;
- Conduct time studies to support productivity improvements and reduce waste;
- Assist in the development and procurement of local parts not received for production;
- Create advanced notifications for model changes and distribute to Aftersales and Dealer network;
- Update SAP and EMA with new structure modules and support alterations to current/historical builds;
- Update part coding with new parts received and create local part numbers for CKD parts;
- Support all areas by providing part numbers and specifications for parts fitted during production and support activities;
- Assist the Quality Technician with equipment calibration, safe working conditions, and backup equipment;
- Support improvements and address out-of-standard conditions within teams;
- Monitor audits performed by production and quality teams to ensure quality standards are maintained;
- Manage batch numbers and issue resolution to ensure data integrity;
- Ensure tool specifications are maintained and prevent unauthorized modifications;
- Address safety-related issues promptly to maintain quality and safety standards;
- Provide SOP feedback regularly to ensure team actions on outstanding items;
- Assist teams with WIP status by ensuring availability of processes, parts, and instructions;
- Update job cards and supporting information during new and current builds;
- Handle customer complaints, ensuring control, action, and documentation of issues;
- Track SOP completion per model monthly;
- Participate in problem-solving activities, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions;
- Report abnormalities or bottlenecks to the Quality Manager;
- Manage parts issues and claims for CKD and local parts;
- Engage in Continuous Improvement activities as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Industrial Engineering Qualification
- Understanding of technical/process drawings
- Code 8 Driver's License
