Job summary

CBI- Low Voltage is seeking a Manufacturing Industrial Engineer to drive the industrialisation of new products and modifications, converting Product Baselines (PBL) into Manufacturing Baselines (MBL) for new development projects.

You will influence design for manufacturability, support assembly and component manufacturing, initiate failure diagnostics, document progress, and ensure ECPs are implemented with cost and stock in mind.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with experience in multi-disciplinary manufacturing environments.
• Strong project management and product development experience.
• DFx principles to minimise cost and improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Drive the industrialisation of new products and product modifications.
• Actively participate in the product design phase to influence manufacturability, assimilability, and cost.
• Optimally convert Product Baselines (PBL) into Manufacturing Baselines (MBL).
• Use the pre-production phase to evaluate and update Manufacturing Baselines (MBL).
• Ensure all Impact Engineering Change Proposals are implemented effectively, considering cost, stock levels, phase-out requirements, and implementation plans.
• Provide technical support on assembly and component manufacturing processes.
• Initiate and execute failure diagnostics and corrective actions.
• Compile and submit technical and progress reports.
• Perform administrative functions in accordance with company processes and procedures.

• At least 5 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment.

• Exposure to tool and die making, an advantage.
• Exposure to electronics, an advantage.
• Self-driven, enthusiastic.
