Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Tembisa. This entry-point role focuses on learning industrial electrical systems under the guidance of experienced electricians, with hands-on exposure to installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.

You will develop practical electrical skills, read blueprints, and work safely in diverse industrial environments, with structured on-the-job training and a clear path to a trade qualification.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent, with a strong aptitude for mathematics and technical subjects.
• Good manual dexterity and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior electricians.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical layouts.
• Perform basic electrical tasks such as pulling wire, mounting fixtures, and making connections under supervision.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards.
• Participate in on-the-job training and formal instruction sessions.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and properly stored.
