Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Electrician to join the maintenance team in Upington. The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems to support production continuity and reliability.

The successful candidate will have a trade qualification as an Electrician with strong knowledge of motors, VFDs, and PLC controls, along with adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as an Electrician (e.g., Wireman's License).
• Proven experience as Industrial Electrician in manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, VFDs, and PLC controls.
• Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, local regulations).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• ATest: Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, power distribution, and control equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose faults in machinery and control panels.
