Our Client in the Branding and Printing Industry is seeking a highly creative and skilled Industrial Designer / 3D Artist to join their team in Durban, Waterfall on a Freelance or Contract Basis.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in industrial design, 3D modeling, and rendering within the branding, advertising, or printing industry.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and KeyShot.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, technical skills, and attention to detail.
• Experience with VR / AR technologies and knowledge of printing processes (e.g., offset, digital, large format) is a plus.

Job Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities :

• Conceptualization and Design : Generate creative design concepts that align with client objectives and brand guidelines. Develop sketches, mood boards, and digital renderings to communicate ideas effectively.
• 3D Modeling and Rendering : Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D) to create detailed 3D models of products, packaging, displays, and environments. Produce high-quality renderings with realistic textures, lighting, and materials.
• Prototyping and Visualization : Produce physical prototypes and mock-ups to validate design concepts and facilitate client presentations. Use virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) tools to visualize designs in context and explore interactive experiences.
• Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with creative directors, graphic designers, marketers, and clients to understand project requirements and deliverables. Effectively communicate design concepts and iterate based on feedback to achieve desired outcomes.
• Technical Proficiency : Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and techniques in industrial design, 3D modeling, and printing. Apply technical knowledge to optimize designs for production feasibility and efficiency.
• Project Management : Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints. Prioritize tasks effectively and proactively identify potential challenges or opportunities for optimization.
