As an Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and testing of innovative products from concept to production. This role is essential in bridging the gap between creative design and manufacturing, ensuring all prototypes meet quality, functionality, and production standards. You will play a key role in driving technical innovation and delivering market-ready products in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Duties :
Lead the end-to-end design and prototyping of new product concepts
Apply ergonomic and structural design principles to ensure comfort, functionality, and safety
Develop and modify detailed designs using CAD tools such as Inventor and AutoCAD
Oversee prototype development using techniques like 3D printing, CNC machining, and handcrafting
Conduct functionality, durability, and safety testing on prototypes
Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and cost efficiency
Source and evaluate materials suitable for manufacturing and upholstery
Optimize manufacturing processes to enable a smooth transition from prototype to production
Identify and implement opportunities for product and process innovation
Support quality control efforts and lead continuous improvement initiatives in design

Requirements :
Relevant degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Minimum 2+ years of experience in industrial or product design, ideally within a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD) and 3D modeling tools
Hands-on experience with prototyping and design testing
Knowledge of materials, ergonomics, manufacturing methods, and recliner mechanisms
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously
