About the Role

Our client, a major player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced and proactive Industrial Cleaning Supervisor to oversee their sanitation operations in Vereeniging, Gauteng . Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of the industrial cleaning crew.
• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive cleaning schedules for all plant areas, including production floors, machinery, and common spaces.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures where applicable.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure cleaning standards are met and identify potential hazards.
• Train and mentor cleaning staff on proper techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock and proper storage.
• Operate and maintain specialized industrial cleaning machinery, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Respond effectively to emergency cleaning situations or spills.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff performance, supply usage, and safety incidents.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize disruption to operations.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial cleaning, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
• Thorough knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals, solvents, and equipment.
