About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Cleaning Supervisor to manage sanitation operations within manufacturing facilities located in Tembisa, Gauteng . This role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene essential for production environments. You will lead a team responsible for specialized industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with strict safety protocols and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in industrial cleaning, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a keen eye for detail. This position requires a hands-on approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all operational areas are maintained in a pristine and safe condition, contributing directly to the efficiency and integrity of the manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of the industrial cleaning team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Develop and implement comprehensive cleaning plans tailored to the specific needs of manufacturing environments, including production floors, machinery, and high-risk areas.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hazardous materials handling.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality and effectiveness of cleaning services, identifying and rectifying any deficiencies promptly.
• Manage the procurement, storage, and responsible use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
• Train new team members on industrial cleaning techniques, safety standards, and site-specific protocols.
• Liaise with plant managers and production supervisors to coordinate cleaning schedules and minimize disruption to operations.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety checks, and staff training.
• Implement and oversee waste management and recycling programs according to company and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial cleaning, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures in manufacturing settings.
• Experience with specialized cleaning tasks such as high-pressure washing, chemical decontamination, and cleanroom protocols is a significant advantage.
