Job summary

Tongaat Hulett, based at Voermol Feeds in Maidstone (Tongaat), is seeking an experienced Draughting Specialist to produce and manage technical drawings for civil, electrical and mechanical works. You will work under the Engineering Manager to ensure compliance with standards and codes, and to prepare BOMs for multiple projects.

Qualified candidates with 5–7 years in heavy industrial draughting, proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid Edge, and SAP systems will fit best.

Qualifications

• Minimum three-year tertiary qualification in Engineering Draughting.
• Registration with ECSA as Professional Technician is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Produce and revise technical drawings of parts, assemblies and plant systems.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) for civil, electrical and mechanical works and manage drawing office records.
• Consolidate data from site measurements and sketches into accurate working drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards and design codes and obtain final approval before printing.
