Job summary

Syspro is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join Torque, its Industrial AI platform. Based in Johannesburg, you will embed with customers to discover value, prototype fast, and drive production rollouts across ERP landscapes.

In this role you own deployments end-to-end, translate operational problems into AI solutions, and build playbooks while upholding governance and responsible-AI practices. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role in a small founding team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related field.
Experience building and shipping software in production is required.
Experience with LLMs, agents, APIs and data pipelines is essential.

Responsibilities

Identify value opportunities with pilot customers and validate value hypotheses.
Own end-to-end deployment from discovery to production rollout and enablement.
Build reusable deployment playbooks and integrate Torque with customer ERP/data systems.
Support presales with deep technical depth in demos and value engagements.
