EXPERIENCE : 6-8 years of related working experience.

COMMENCEMENT : August 2025

Qualifications & Experience :

National Diploma or Degree in Administration, Purchasing, Commercial, Engineering, or BCom equivalent

Minimum of 3 5 years' experience in a similar purchasing or procurement role, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment

Strong analytical and negotiation skills

Proficiency in SAP, MS PowerPoint, and Excel

Understanding of tender management and project-based procurement

Team player with a solution-oriented mindset

Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Manage end-to-end sourcing projects including market analysis, supplier evaluations, tender processes, negotiations, and contract management

Promote cost-effective use of resources across assigned commodities

Develop and implement supplier performance evaluation and development strategies

Drive procurement process compliance and audit-ready documentation

Manage B-BBEE and ISO certification processes, supplier contracts, and purchasing documentation

Identify and implement process improvements (e.g. outline agreements for recurring purchases)

Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate demand identification, allocation, and sourcing decisions

Flexibility to handle ad hoc purchasing tasks

Structured approach to handling multiple projects simultaneously

Key Responsibilities :

  • In the role of Indirect Purchasing buyer, the associate shall be responsible to Promote and institute the most cost-effective use of company resources in the sourcing projects for assigned commodity responsibility within the Group
  • Identification of demands, assigning of demands, market analysis content clarification, bidder circle compilation and maintenance of commodity strategies, assessing quotations for technical alternatives, quotation comparisons, price negotiations, sourcing recommendations, order placements, project evaluations and maintenance of hourly rates agreements and of outline agreements.
  • These demand related tasks are accompanied by general tasks, which are necessary to fulfil the procurement process.
  • Market Evaluation (local and international)
  • Market Development (Engagement model, Pricing sheet, Terms and conditions etc)
  • Supplier Evaluation (Financially and Technically)
  • In addition, tasks of the Integrated Management System must be fulfilled.
  • Process Improvement (e.g., Outline Agreements for recurring purchases) and Target Development (Department and Individual)
  • Responsible for the compliant Purchasing process with right application of process due diligence, templates, Negotiation preparations and audit proof documentations thru' the tender nomination process.
  • Implement supplier performance evaluations and review together with business areas
  • Responsible for B-BBEE certificates, ISO Certificates, PQCs, DPA, BRC checks, MSA / Contracts for relevant Projects basis nomination.
