Key Responsibilities :

  • Drive cost-effective sourcing for assigned commodities through detailed market evaluation (local and international).
  • Manage tenders from demand identification to sourcing recommendations and order placements.
  • Conduct price negotiations, supplier assessments (technical and financial), and performance management.
  • Handle contract management, including B-BBEE and ISO certifications, PQCs, and documentation for audit compliance.
  • Develop supplier relationships, support process improvement (e.g., outline agreements), and ensure compliant procurement processes.
  • Collaborate across organisational levels and maintain structured tracking of multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Use tools like SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and adopt a project management approach to procurement tasks.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • National Diploma or Degree in Administration, Commercial, Purchasing, Engineering, or BCom (or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and business writing skills.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of Integrated Management Systems, B-BBEE, ESD, TISAX, and ISO compliance.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple projects with a solution-oriented mindset.
