Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Needs Education or related field.
• Certification in Special Needs Education.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with diverse special educational needs.
• Understanding of learning disabilities and developmental disorders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with empathy and patience.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families.
• Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
• Proficiency with educational assessment tools and techniques.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and possess a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct one-on-one and small group support to students needing specialized instruction.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Monitor student progress, document observations, and report achievements and challenges.
• Assist students with daily living skills and promote social and emotional development.
• Communicate progress and strategies for home support with parents/guardians.
• Administer diagnostic assessments and interpret results to inform interventions.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Stay current with research and best practices in special education.
