Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Incident Response Specialist to join our remote security team. In this critical role, you will manage and execute the organization's incident response plan, investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and drive swift recovery.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, develop playbooks, stay ahead of evolving threats, and contribute to strengthening security controls across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of incident response, digital forensics, or security operations.
• Proficiency with incident response tools and forensic analysis software.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and malware analysis.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in incident response, digital forensics, or security operations.
• Proficiency with incident response tools and techniques, including forensic analysis software.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and malware analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Effective communication and reporting skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, or CISSP are highly desirable.
