Minimum B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Degree in Operations Management / Supply Chain or similar

Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Procurement (local and international) in a leadership role

Experience in procurement processes, including price negotiations, service agreements, and inventory management

Management of raw materials

Warehouse experience will be advantageous

Good leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

1. Direct and indirect procurement: Procuring direct and indirect materials required to meet demand, drawing up annual budgets, managing master data on ERP systems for procurement and warehousing, maintaining strong business partnerships with key vendors, drafting and managing supplier agreements, managing vendor qualification processes to ensure GMP compliance, identifying and mitigating supply risks, and managing BBBEE compliance.
2. Cost controls: Managing spend in line with budgets, identifying and managing cost-saving initiatives, and managing inventory levels.
3. Warehouse management: Managing inbound supply processes at receiving stores, ensuring supply to production and other departments, and maintaining GMP and OHSE compliance within all warehouse areas.
