Job Title

Inbound Sales Development Representative

Job Description

As a Sales Development Representative at Sage, you will be the first point of contact with prospects, providing an independent, professional, and informative experience. Your daily focus will be matching customer needs with suitable Sage products and generating high-quality qualified leads for the Sales team. Excelling in this role will contribute directly to maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, supporting business growth.

This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days per week onsite at our Johannesburg office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads based on best practice processes before passing them to Sales.
  • Distribute qualified leads across the Sales teams for Sage Africa Middle East.
  • Maintain accurate records on Salesforce and local CRM systems.
  • Achieve and exceed lead conversion targets while maintaining lead quality.
  • Address sales consultant queries and develop positive internal relationships.

Onboarding and Development

Your first 90 days will include learning the business and completing Sage's onboarding program. Focus, motivation, openness to feedback, and proactive engagement are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Sales-related field.
  • At least 2 years of sales, inside sales, or sales development experience in a multinational organization.
  • Experience with CRM systems and a strong affinity for technology.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
