Job title : Inbound Planner - East London

Minimum Requirements :
- A 3-year Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
- 3–5 years of relevant inbound planning or receiving coordination experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse receiving procedures and supplier engagement
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Familiarity with BOMM, Relex, or similar ERP / planning systems
- Strong problem-solving, numerical reasoning, and analytical capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet daily deadlines in a high-pressure environment
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and Maintain Inbound Booking Schedules :
- Update daily schedules by comparing data from the Bomm System to the existing schedule.
- Monitor orders on the Bomm System to track deliveries and identify gaps (NO GRV).
- Analyze receiving invoices and detect instances where no invoice exists, indicating undelivered stock.
- Collaborate with the Demand Planner and Demand Planning Manager to escalate issues and involve the Buyer if necessary.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure accurate stock deliveries.
- Rebook stock deliveries when needed to ensure seamless supply.
- Coordinate Supplier Deliveries for Operational Efficiency :
- Monitor emails from demand planners regarding orders, providing insight into supply requirements.
- Plan deliveries considering promotional demands, store, and RDC stock levels.
- Work with the Demand Planning team for scheduling and alignment.
- Validate product details such as quantity, size, packaging, and palletisation.
- Confirm delivery dates with suppliers and communicate precise delivery times.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders about schedule changes.
- Reschedule deliveries as needed to adapt to changing requirements.
- Manage Returns and Communication :
- Coordinate with the Outbound Manager regarding supplier returns.
- Communicate clearly with suppliers or third-party transport about returns.
- Handle return processes effectively, especially when suppliers deliver additional orders to the DC.
- Inform Suppliers of DC Rules and Regulations :
- Communicate DC Rules & Regulations to suppliers effectively.
- Guide on driver and crew attire.
- Specify required pallet types and sizes at the DC.
- Clarify delivery time frames, staff, and palletisation requirements.
