Job Title: Inbound/Outbound Controller (Montague Gardens, Cape Town) (Western Cape)

Description
  • Ecowize is looking for a skilled and competent Inbound/Outbound Controller to oversee and manage raw materials stock, including receiving, issuing, and dispatching raw materials and finished goods. The successful candidate will ensure that the manufacturing and handling of raw materials are efficient.
  • Key responsibilities include controlling the movement of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. The Controller will also handle administrative duties such as regular stock counts and reporting stock variances to the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive raw materials from suppliers, ensuring correct quantities are received in collaboration with procurement and quality teams.
  • Maintain accurate and organized inventory levels and storage.
  • Consider storage conditions, accessibility, and product lifespan; apply stock management principles to reduce redundant and expired stock.
  • Maintain detailed files on COAs, TDS, and SDS for all inventory items and enforce GMPs, ensuring manufacturing safety standards are met.
  • Adhere to correct warehousing and storage techniques, following health and safety standards, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ensure raw material stock availability for production and accurately weigh batch packs according to BOM.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure all activities are stored and executed within designated areas per the housekeeping policy.
Requirements
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant qualification in Operations/Quality Management (advantageous)
  • Previous experience as a Raw Materials Controller or Inventory Controller
  • Experience handling and storing dangerous goods
  • Knowledge of the chemical or manufacturing industry
  • Understanding of Quality Management System requirements (ISO 9001)
  • Experience in stock management
  • Valid Driver’s License
