Job description

We are currently looking for a solution-oriented operations manager for our inbound department in Centurion DC, Gauteng. As the operations manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of inbound warehouse operations, inventory control, cost management, health and safety, and people management to achieve business objectives.


Job Description
  1. To ensure achievements of budgeted and agreed financial targets.
  2. To ensure effective use and utilization of all the people resources to drive productivity to targets.
  3. To control and ensure accountability for the damage and poor maintenance of company assets (scanners, machines, racking, etc.).
  4. To analyze, interpret, and report business information to facilitate process improvement and improved financial performance.
  5. To engage, network, and communicate with internal stakeholders, vendors, stores, and suppliers to ensure swift query resolution and improved business performance.
  6. To deliver high levels of service to stores through accurate, on-time deliveries, minimal damages, and effective communication.
  7. To monitor and maintain adherence to safety procedures, coordinate and manage emergencies, ensuring a safe working environment.
  8. To lead and direct the department managers to achieve consistent process compliance and adherence to all relevant company SOPs, cutoffs, and daily reports.
  9. To manage labor brokers to the service level agreements through regular meetings and ensuring accountability for performance and control and approval of costs.
  10. Oversee all inbound department receiving, MACOPS, and returns department.
  11. To manage the HR management component of the department, including performance management and talent identification.
