Placements24 seeks an in-house Legal Counsel for their Mossel Bay office to support energy project development, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance. You will advise management and business units, draft and negotiate EPC, PPAs, O&M, and JV agreements, and guide governance and dispute resolution.

The role requires SA Admitted Attorney with 5–7 years PQE, strong knowledge of SA energy law, environmental regulations, and excellent drafting and negotiation skills in a fast-paced

• Admitted attorney with 5–7 years PQE.
• Proven experience in commercial law and contract negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of South African energy laws and environmental regulations.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal support on energy projects including development, financing, and construction.
• Draft, review and negotiate EPCs, PPAs, O&M, and JV agreements.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across energy regulations and permitting.
• Manage disputes, litigation and arbitration matters.
• Support corporate governance matters including board resolutions and shareholder agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide opinions on complex issues.
• Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies as required.
• Assist business development with market entry strategy.
