Mission of the role :

  • As an IMS & SHEQ Coordinator you will drive operational excellence by applying best practices and lean methodologies to exceed customer expectations.
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance through proactive coordination and implementation of SHEQ systems.
  • Support and standardize IMS / BMS processes, fostering a culture of teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Inspire the workforce to embrace innovative approaches to wellness and sustainability, creating a safer and more dynamic workplace.

Your mission :

  • Implement and review SHE risk assessments and contractor compliance, recommending mitigation strategies and improvements.
  • Coordinate corrective actions from SHE findings and monitor closure of non-conformances (NCRs).
  • Lead and schedule SHE-related meetings, investigations, and reporting, including performance statistics and incident analysis.
  • Manage emergency preparedness : drills, equipment inspections, and training for staff and visitors.
  • Oversee SHE training, legal compliance documentation, and legislative registers in collaboration with HR and safety teams.
  • Maintain and update the ChemWatch database, SDS records, and IMS / BMS processes.
  • Submit IOD claims, ensure quarterly sustainability reporting, and raise audit findings where applicable.
  • Support ISO compliance through documentation, systems reviews, and collaborative process improvements.

Your profile :

  • 4-year related industry experience.
  • SAMTRAC certificate.
  • Knowledge of internal auditing and experience (added advantage)
  • Understanding and knowledge of COIDA is essential.
  • Understanding and knowledge of legal requirements is essential.
  • SharePoint Administrator qualification or experience is essential.
  • Extensive experience within a manufacturing environment as IMS & SHEQ Coordinator.
  • Knowledge of ISO and Legal requirement (added advantage)
  • Diploma in Electronic Data Programming / Systems (added advantage)
