A leading company in manufacturing seeks an experienced Component Manager to oversee imported components and supply chain operations. Qualifications

• Matric and a National Diploma in Supply Chain Management required.
• 3-4 years’ experience in Expediting material International essential.
• Experience in MRP for ordering and expediting critical.

Responsibilities

• Forward purchase orders to suppliers and update Syspro.
• Compile monthly reports on supplier performance.

Introduction

Manage imported components from MRP and maintain purchase order book. Ensure smooth supply of components to production. Escalate potential risk of stoppage. Maintain optimal stock levels per the company's requirements

· Forward purchase orders to suppliers (Emails, Zeno, Syspro, EDI).

· Receives orders confirmations from suppliers and update Syspro

· Manage/Monitor orders and update any changes for quantities weekly.

· Escalate critical and potential shortages with detailed root cause analysis and counter measure.

· Freight budget: Raise the road freight for urgent parts and airfreight authorizations.

· Working capital KPI – manage overstock and report plan to reduce overstock against set targets

· Update monthly delivery performance report for suppliers.

· Compile monthly reports on supplier performance and SSN

· Monthly forecast preparation and orders sent to suppliers as per supplier agreement.

· Check SHIPS and EDI on daily basis and action.

· Matric (Essential)

· National Diploma in Supply Chain Management. (Essential)

· 3 - 4 years’ experience in Expediting material International (Essential)

· Experience using MRP to place orders and expedite (Essential)

· Computer Literate -good knowledge of Microsoft office (Ms Word, MS Excel and Outlook) (Essential)

· Knowledge of Syspro and Zeno. (Advantageous)

· Knowledge of SHIPS and EDI (Advantageous)
