Purpose Of The Role

The Imports and Exports Manager oversees the operational aspects of imports and exports of raw materials and packaging, ensuring timely, complete, and cost-effective receipt and delivery of materials and products. This role requires management, planning, and coordination skills to lead the Import & Export Controller teams, collaborate with internal departments (mainly Planning & Procurement), and manage Logistics Service Providers (LSPs).

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Management: Oversee daily import and export operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
2. Demand Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and coordinate the receipt and delivery of materials and products.
3. Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Import & Export Controller and Shipping Controller teams, providing guidance and coaching.
4. Organisation and People Management: Foster a customer-centric culture within the organization and ensure effective team organization and management.
5. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and resolving issues promptly.
6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to regulatory compliance, supply chain disruptions, and customs clearance.
7. Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements: Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Expertise in Imports & Exports.
• 5+ years of experience in imports and exports management, including customs clearance, supply chain optimization, and team leadership.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and supply chain best practices.
