Hybrid Payroll Implementation and Consulting Specialist

Hybrid role - Based in Johannesburg.

Our company, specializing in software design and implementation, is seeking a skilled Payroll Implementation and Consulting Specialist.

Responsibilities
  1. Implementing the software at clients' premises.
  2. Performing needs analysis and payroll setup to meet statutory requirements (Tax, UIF, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, etc.) for RSA and African clients (Angola, Nigeria, Swaziland), including the Middle East.
  3. Consulting with clients to solve problems, advise on best practices, statutory issues, support payroll processes, and implement modules.
  4. Assisting clients with Tax Year Ends and Mid-year Tax Year Reconciliation, involving E@syfile and SARS E-filing.
  5. Invoicing clients and compiling consulting reports for client sign-off.
  6. Managing own schedule and meeting monthly targets based on consulting, training, and support hours.
  7. Providing on-site training at clients' premises.
  8. Offering telephone support to clients, including gathering information to resolve issues effectively.
  9. Logging calls on the Call Logging System (CRM).
  10. Presenting training courses.
  11. Staying current with statutory changes.
  12. Building a network with SAGE Payroll users in the industry.
  13. Supporting software upgrades and legal patches.
  14. Handling ongoing client queries and testing reported problems.
  15. Maintaining Human Resource procedures across the coastal region of South Africa, including administering HR plans, developing policies, maintaining employee handbooks, conducting recruitment, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Degree/Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification in IT and/or Payroll Diploma.
  • Payroll industry certifications are advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in Service, Consulting, and Implementation.
  • Deep understanding of customer service models and client business environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of PeopleWare and Payroll systems.
  • At least 3 years' experience in Payroll and advanced Excel skills.
