Job description

Fully Remote role - Based in Durban

Company with software design and implementation requires the services of a skilled payroll implementation and consulting specialist.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Implementing the software at clients' premises
  2. Performing needs analysis and payroll setup to meet all statutory requirements, including Tax, UIF, and Basic Conditions of Employment Act for RSA and Africa Clients (Angola, Nigeria, Swaziland) including the Middle East
  3. Consultations at clients involving problem-solving, advice on best practices, statutory issues, and supporting clients with payroll processes and implementing modules.
  4. Assisting clients with their Tax Year Ends and Mid-year Tax Year Recon which involves E@syfile and SARS E-filing
  5. Invoicing clients
  6. Compilation of consulting reports signed off by the clients
  7. Managing own schedule
  8. Meeting monthly targets based on consulting, training, and support hours
  9. On-site training at clients' premises
  10. Telephone support to clients, gathering information to solve problems effectively
  11. Logging calls on Call Logging System (CRM)
  12. Presenting training courses
  13. Staying updated with all statutory changes
  14. Establishing a network with SAGE Payroll users in the industry
  15. Supporting upgrades and legal patches
  16. Dealing with ongoing client queries
  17. Testing reported problems / queries for clients
  18. Maintaining Human Resource procedures throughout the coastal region of South Africa, including administering various human resource plans and procedures, developing & implementing policies, preparing employee handbooks, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

Required Minimum Education / Training

  1. Matric plus 5+ years relevant experience
  2. Degree / Diploma or a relevant tertiary qualification in IT and / or Payroll Diploma
  3. Certifications relating to the payroll industry will be advantageous

Required Minimum Work Experience

  1. Relevant experience in Service, Consulting, and Implementation
  2. In-depth understanding of the customer services model and the customers' business environment
  3. In-depth knowledge of PeopleWare and Payroll
  4. At least 3 years' experience in Payroll and advanced Excel
  5. Good understanding of PeopleWare services in various industries
