Responsibilities

• Functionality Customization via IDIT Setup Wizards: Use the IDIT Product Designer / Manager setup wizard to create / update products, and add / update Covers, Underwriting, Clauses, and Product definition parameters.
• Use the Security Manager setup wizard to create Roles and Privileges and attach / remove them for specific user(s); define Organization Hierarchy for the insurance company.
• Use the Workflow Builder setup wizard to Create / Update Manual Actions, Events, Follow-up tasks, Queues, and set up escalation levels as required; define workflows by attaching relevant events, tasks, and document correspondences to required system or manually created actions.
• Use IDIT Document Manager and Sapiens Docs MS Word plugin to create data dictionary tags for printing data points from the system to document templates; define / update various incoming / outgoing document types (Regular File, SMS, Emails) and create and design the above-mentioned document templates.
• Customize system functionality to support a wide range of insurance products and workflow processes: use various setup wizards under Settings and Utility menus of IDIT to set up Payment Plans, GL codes, and perform GL mapping for IDIT transaction types against provided GL account codes.
• Set up Dunning (Non-Payment) steps and actions; use Loss Event and Litigation Setup Builder to add / update new damage codes for Claims; create / update Reserves and Payment templates via the setup wizard.
• Maintain reference table values via the Setup Builder wizard: add / update values for specific master reference tables (e.g., tables used for Drop-down fields across the system); upload and populate reference tables with large volumes of data using the upload wizard of IDIT.
• Use IDIT Rule Editor to define / update business rules using data dictionaries and coefficients; define / adjust system parameters (Product Version and Application) to tailor the IDIT PAS to specific business requirements.
• Collaborate with BAs and understand IDIT Setup workbooks created by BAs; maintain agreed IDIT setup workbooks following new additions or updates.
• Create various Agreement types used by the system (e.g., Agent Commission; Agreement, Collective agreements); perform Unit Testing before promoting to the Testing team.
• Use IDIT’s Promotion Manager tool; create and manage promotions (a set of SQL statements generated by the system) and commit changes under a promotion; have working knowledge of the release process from Dev to the SIT environment (via CI pipeline).
• Analyze defects related to setup and provide resolutions.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or Insurance-related field

Required Experience (relevant or in a similar role) :

• 3–6 years in insurance tech implementation or systems integration
• Experience with platforms like Guidewire, Duck Creek, Tial, Sapiens, or proprietary insurer systems; REST / SOAP APIs; SQL; XML / JSON

Required Knowledge and Skills :

• Deep understanding of short-term insurance products (motor, property, liability, commercial lines)
• Familiarity with FSCA, POPIA, and insurance compliance frameworks
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical thinking
• Good conceptual, analytical, and mathematical skills
• Strong techno-functional orientation, with understanding of IT Landscape, Object Orientation, multi-tier Application, Database Design, and the readiness to understand business processes, interesting calculations, and SQL queries
• Ability to match customer functional requirements and application system functionalities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good learner and self-starter, and a team player, ready for the next challenge - wherever it may be
