Job summary

AES Global in Cape Town is seeking a Full-Stack Developer to design and implement applications using Angular and Java (Spring Boot). The role sits in a healthcare-focused, agile scrum team delivering systems that support clinicians in decision making.

You will code from design to deployment, write clean, testable software, participate in code reviews, and create architecture documentation. This is an in-office, on-site permanent role in Cape Town.

Qualifications

• Experience with Angular 7+
• Java 8+ and Spring Boot; REST/SOAP services
• Microservices architecture understanding
• Test-driven development & functional testing
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Strong delivery track record with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Develop applications from design to implementation in Angular and Java (Spring Boot).
• Write high-quality, reusable code and the test scripts.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Maintain applications and provide technical support.
• Provide detailed estimates and deliver features on time.
• Work in an agile scrum team following software development best practice.
• Create and maintain software design and architecture documentation.
