Research Professor in The Faculty of Health Sciences (fixed-term, 5 years, renewable based on performance) - AC04 / AC05. The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand seeks to appoint a Research Professor / Senior Clinician Scientist.
The research focus can be in any of the following fields:
Applicants involved in other health-care research priorities in South Africa will also be considered. The role emphasizes leadership in clinical research and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Qualifications:
Applicants must demonstrate high-level original academic production, research management skills, and provide research-based teaching. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.

Selection involves a committee review and interviews. Salary based on university terms; appointee will receive a pensionable salary at a Senior Consultant level. Clinical practice limited to one day per week.
