My client, a leading mining company, is looking for an IM Technician to join their team for a long-term contract in Rosebank.Reporting to the Manager Construction, the purpose of the role is to provide technical support and assistance in managing and maintaining information systems and data.Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following : Safety, Health and Environment : Adhere to all health and safety practices and requirements.Maintain good housekeeping to ensure compliance and an environment where team members can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.Performance and Delivery : Technical supportProvide first-line technical support for information management systems and applications.Troubleshoot and resolve user issues.Maintain and update system documentation.Data ManagementAssist in data entry, cleaning, and validation.Maintain data integrity and accuracy.Generate reports and analyse data as required.System AdministrationPerform routine system maintenance tasks.Monitor system performance and identify potential issues.Implement system updates and patches.Project SupportAssist with project implementation and deployment.Provide technical support to project teamspliance and SecurityAdhere to information security policies and procedures.Participate in security audits and assessments.REQUIREMENTS : MatricQualification in Information Management / Systems (NQF 5)3-5 years of experience in information management support, preferably in a project mining environment.Basic understanding of data management principles.Knowledge of relevant information management systems.Understanding of data security and privacy.Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.Knowledge of IT security best practices.Expertise in relevant software applications (e.g.
