Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Special Needs Education Coordinator to lead a dedicated support team in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive the necessary resources to thrive.

You will collaborate with teachers, parents, therapists, and external specialists to create an inclusive and effective learning environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Special Needs Education or related field
• Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 4 years of direct experience with students with special needs
• Proven experience in developing and implementing IEPs

You will work closely with teachers, parents, therapists, and external specialists to create an inclusive and effective learning environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.
• Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for interventions and support services.
• Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, and external agencies providing support services.
• Provide training and guidance to school staff on best practices in special needs education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Needs Education or a related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working directly with students with special needs.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
• Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for supporting students in Paarl .
