Job description

Specialist: ICT Operations Support - 6 months Contract

Highly dynamic and fluctuating Telecommunications and ISP industry

The purpose of this role is to ensure and provide seamless and efficient customer on-boarding, proactive churn management, cancellations, order capture and processing and tracking to order fulfilment and any other ICT operations activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform operational processes for ICT Client onboarding and service cancellations

Client onboarding via Siebel/Glide 1

  • Consolidate all Customer docs to On-Board the customer by:
  • Capture customer details and generate a Customer Account
  • Capture site details and generate Service Accounts
  • Capture billing structure as defined by customer and system capability
  • RICA performed and supporting doc uploaded (client & fixed number)
  • Capture and Coordinate credit limit adjustments with Vetting
  • Process ADHOC customer a/c amendments
  • Monitor digital Glide 1 onboarding process

Order capture via Siebel/Glide1

  • Capture customer services as stated on customer Bill of Material (BOM) and Sales Order Form (SOF)
  • Attach feasibility result and all supporting documents to quote
  • Manage all queries relating to order being captured
  • Track order through all functional arears (Vetting, Commercial and Billing QA ) through to fulfilment
  • Track and monitor all Glide 1 transactions (Quotes and orders)

Primary controls (Siebel / Glide 1)

  • Undertake quality assurance on all documentation/information for all orders received (SOF) & BOM) and issue SR number
  • Advise sales team where information is incomplete/ complete.
  • Check quote captured against BOM - QA workflow
  • Check discounted price in Quote - Commercial QA workflow
  • Check order flow end-to-end (Siebel, BRM, WFM)
  • Provide Related Systems support for Sales

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Minimum 3-year tertiary degree/diploma (Bachelor of Commerce or Business qualification or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years in Enterprise ICT environment.
  • Experience in working in matrix structures and leading through influence and cross-collaboration
  • Proven track record in operations environments
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Siebel
  • MS Power BI
  • Understanding of operations and fulfilment processes in the telecom industry

Salary: R150 per hour (non-negotiable)

Contract: 6 months

Location: West Rand (Johannesburg)
