Job summary

SITA invites unemployed South Africans aged 18-35 with ICT skills to join a 12-month internship programme in Kwa-Zulu Natal Province. The programme includes Server Engineering, Network Engineering, End User Computing and Service Desk, and requires no prior work experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3-year National Diploma in ICT (NQF Level 6).
• No prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of servers.
• Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues under supervision.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and identify connectivity issues.
• End-User Computing Responsibilities: provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining workstations, printers, and mobile devices.
• Service Desk Responsibilities: act as the first point of contact for IT-related queries and incidents.
• Log and classify incidents and service requests in the service desk system.
