Placements24 is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to join our client’s team in Bloemfontein. The role focuses on designing product displays and store layouts that enhance shopping experiences and drive sales, with a hybrid work setup that combines remote planning with on-site execution.

You will translate brand aesthetics into compelling in-store presentations, collaborate with store managers and sales teams, stay ahead of retail design trends, and visit stores regularly

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser or in a similar creative retail role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful visual merchandising projects.
• Excellent understanding of color theory, spatial design, and retail display principles.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively both independently remotely and collaboratively on-site.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute visually appealing product displays and store layouts in alignment with brand guidelines.
• Create mood boards, sketches, and planograms to communicate visual merchandising concepts.
• Select and arrange fixtures, lighting, and props to highlight products effectively.
• Collaborate with store managers and sales teams to ensure timely implementation of visual merchandising plans.
• Stay updated on the latest retail design trends and competitor visual strategies.
• Conduct regular store visits to monitor display standards and provide visual merchandising support, balancing with remote design tasks.
