Job summary

Placements24 in Mahikeng, North West, is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to optimize demand forecasting, inventory control, procurement, and logistics. This role blends on-site collaboration with remote data analysis and reporting to drive cost reductions and efficiency gains.

You will monitor KPIs, work across departments, and help implement supply chain policies and new technologies while leveraging ERP systems for improved performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or operations analysis role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI).
• Good understanding of supply chain processes, including planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Experience with ERP systems and supply chain planning software is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
• Must be legally eligible to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize inventory levels.
• Evaluate supplier performance and assist in procurement activities to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely supply.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics efficiency, including transportation and warehousing.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare regular reports for management.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings throughout the supply chain.
• Assist in development and implementation of supply chain policies and procedures.
• Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and systems.
• Analyze transportation costs and recommend optimization strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies within the supply chain.
