Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Smart Contract Developer to join their client’s team in Polokwane. The role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and deploying secure smart contracts for diverse blockchain applications, with collaboration across engineers and product managers to deliver decentralized solutions.

You should have a CS/Engineering degree and 2+ years in software development, with proficiency in Solidity and Hardhat/Truffle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of software development with a focus on smart contract development.
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience with development frameworks (Hardhat or Truffle).
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals including cryptography and distributed ledger technology.
• Experience with token standards (ERC-20, ERC-721) and DeFi protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy secure and audited smart contracts on Ethereum, Polygon, or similar platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable Solidity/Vyper code.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate contracts into dApps.
• Perform code reviews and participate in security audits.
