Placements24 is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to optimize and oversee supply chain and logistics in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on management in a hybrid model, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

You will lead warehousing, transportation, and partner relationships to drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in logistics, a relevant degree, and strong negotiation and data-analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in logistics and supply chain management.
• Experience managing warehouse operations and transportation networks.
• Experience negotiating with 3PL providers and contracts.
• Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of logistics operations including warehousing, inventory and transportation.
• Develop strategies to optimize the supply chain for efficiency and cost savings.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Lead and develop the logistics team; monitor performance metrics and take corrective actions.
