Placements24 is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. The role combines remote flexibility with in-office collaboration in Pretoria, working on Node.js and React-based projects.

You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers, delivering robust software while ensuring code quality, testability, and performance. A strong foundation in JavaScript and database tech is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), including Node.js for backend development.
• Solid experience with frontend frameworks, particularly React.js.
• Experience with database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and CI/CD practices is a plus.
• Good understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack web applications using JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
• Build and maintain backend code using Node.js.
• Develop engaging and responsive user interfaces using React.js.
• Integrate with databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and manage data persistence.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
