Placements24 is assisting a major FMCG group in Richards Bay to appoint a Supply Chain & Logistics Manager. You will oversee end-to-end operations, warehousing, inventory, transport, and distribution to ensure cost efficiency and high service levels.

The role requires 6–8 years in supply chain and logistics, a relevant degree (master's preferred), and experience with WMS/TMS/ERP systems. A hybrid work model combines on-site leadership with remote planning.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain/related field; master's is a plus.
• 6-8 years progressive experience in supply chain and logistics management.
• Experience in large-scale warehousing and distribution operations.
• Strong inventory management, demand planning, and transportation optimization.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Hybrid work environment experience.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the supply chain and logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Manage relationships with 3PLs, carriers, and suppliers to ensure performance and compliance.
• Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and transportation regulations.
• Lead and mentor the supply chain and logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost targets are met.
• Utilize supply chain software and technologies to enhance visibility and efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to align supply chain activities with business needs.
