Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting an Environmental Cleaning & Waste Management Coordinator to oversee daily cleaning operations and oversee waste management across client sites in East London.

The role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment with on-site and remote administrative tasks. Experience in facilities management or sanitation coordination is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities management, cleaning supervision, sanitation coordination, or waste management.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Understanding of waste management principles, including segregation, recycling, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily cleaning activities, ensuring all areas are cleaned and maintained to high standards.
• Oversee waste management operations, including collection, segregation, recycling, and disposal processes.
• Liaise with external waste disposal contractors to schedule pickups, manage manifests, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, waste volumes, disposal certificates, and inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess cleaning quality, identify maintenance needs, and ensure proper waste handling procedures are followed.
• Develop and implement improvements to cleaning and waste management protocols to enhance efficiency and environmental sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries or issues related to cleaning and waste management services.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and waste management consumables.
• Train and guide cleaning staff on procedures and best practices.
