Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner for a childcare setting in Port Elizabeth. The role blends hands-on teaching with remote planning and administrative tasks to support a safe, nurturing learning environment.

You will plan developmentally appropriate activities, observe and document children's progress, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality care while maintaining strong relationships with families.

Qualifications

• A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field.
• Previous experience working with young children in a professional capacity.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (or relevant curriculum framework).
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, managing both in-person and remote responsibilities.
• Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for early childhood education and child welfare.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging activities for children aged 0-5 years.
• Create a safe, stimulating, inclusive learning environment.
• Observe and document children's learning and well-being, sharing insights with parents.
