Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science or closely related field.
• Proven experience in teaching Computer Science at university level.
• Ability to lecture on algorithms, data structures, programming languages, OS, AI.
• Strong research record or potential for research output.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with hybrid/online teaching methodologies and technologies.
• Ability to design and implement effective assessment strategies.
• Commitment to student success and academic mentorship.
• Familiarity with the SA higher education landscape is advantageous.
• Must be able to commute to the Cape Town campus for in-person teaching.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging lectures and tutorials, in-person and remotely.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment methods.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and dissertations.
• Conduct regular office hours for academic support.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and faculty development.
• Contribute to academic community through research, publications or industry engagement.
• Grade assignments, exams, and projects with feedback.
• Mentor students and support their academic/career development.
• Utilize LMS for course delivery and student interaction.
