Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a versatile Project Manager for our client, a rapidly expanding agri-business, to lead strategic expansion initiatives from Mahikeng, North West. This hybrid role focuses on launching new ventures, optimizing operations, and managing key stakeholder relationships to drive growth.

You will develop project plans, coordinate internal and external teams, and ensure successful delivery while adhering to regulatory and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on agri-business or agricultural development.
• Proven track record of successfully managing expansion or development projects.
• Understanding of agricultural production systems, supply chains, and market dynamics.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing office-based and remote work in Mahikeng, North West.
• Willingness to travel within the region as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and successful completion of agri-business expansion projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
• Conduct feasibility studies and market analysis for potential new ventures.
• Coordinate with internal teams (operations, finance, sales) and external partners (suppliers, government agencies) to achieve project objectives.
• Oversee the implementation of new agricultural technologies and best practices.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential challenges, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on project status and outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for relevant personnel.
