Qualifications

Job description

Carry out Preventative Maintenance, Repairs and installation on HVAC system and Refrigeration.

POSITION INFO :

Key Accountabilities / Principle Responsibilities

  1. Preventative Maintenance, Repairs and installation
  2. Maintain central plants (chillers, pumps, towers & controls)
  3. Maintain DX plants (package units, RACS, splits)
  4. Maintain VRV systems and electrical panels
  5. Maintain and troubleshoot building management system
  6. Liaise with customers on a daily basis
  7. Work unplanned hours in case of an emergency to ensure business continuity
  8. Perform any other duties as delegated by Management
  9. Carry out repairs on HVAC equipment as per client requests and in accordance with SLA and operational rules
  10. Ensure each planned maintenance job card has task sheet attached
  11. Ensure that all staff working on the job have appropriate PPE
  12. Ensure that risk assessment and LOTO procedure have been followed
  13. Ensure all tasks relevant to the planned maintenance are carried out satisfactorily, in accordance to legal requirements and OEM
  14. Complete job card in full and obtain completion signatures
  15. Report any follow-up work and any safety related matters noticed
  16. Train, develop and uplift junior staff through knowledge and skill transfer
  17. Ensure that all tools used are well maintained, and the correct tools are used for the relevant trade
  18. Maintain good house-keeping in areas of responsibility
  19. Give feedback to helpdesk at each critical phase of the repair job
  20. Demonstrate teamwork and readiness to assist fellow employees
  21. Adhere to AFMS Policies, Protocols and Procedure
  22. Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety Standards.
  23. Implement Contractor Health and Safety Management system with staff and sub-contractors.

Qualification Requirements and work-related experience

  1. Grade 12
  2. Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  3. Experience on Central Plant
  4. Nationally recognised HVAC Qualification (Post Trade Test / N3)
  5. Knowledge and good understanding of applicable Health & Safety regulations and procedures
